The majority of the questions as related to the court reporting writers / machines depend on your needs as a begining student, an advanced student or a seasoned professional court reporter. Most of the answers will be based on your financial and budget considerations and your future needs in the court reporting industry.
Q: I am going to start school soon. What kind of writer will I need to buy?
A: You can start with the Manual Reporter, Stentura Manual 200 writer, or with the Stentura 400 Electric. Those are all basic level writers, each with different features and applications.
Q: When will I need to change to a Real Time Writer?
A: You will need to change to a Real Time writer as your typing speed increases or when your class starts working with software. However, many students initially purchase a Real Time writer such as Stentura 200SRT or Stentura 400SRT, so they will not have to replace their writer during their entire academic period - thus saving time and money by buying a writer only once!
Q: How long it will take to receive my machine?
A: It depends on the payment method. If your payment was made by CREDIT CARD you will have the machine within 5-7 business days. If your payment was made by CHECK you will recieve the writer within 5-7 business days after check has cleared.
Q: What will I receive with the writer?
A: All STENOTRADER writers comes with all relevant ACCESSORIES of each writer. You do not need to spend any additional money for any part of the writer. Once you have the writer in your hands IT IS READY TO WORK FOR YOU. Please go to ACCESSORIES CHART to find out more about the specific accessories included with your writer.
Q: What type of warranty do I have? What does it includes?
A: All of our writers are sold with ONE YEAR WARRANTY PROTECTION PLAN included in the price. No additional money is needed to pay for any warranty or product insurance for one year. The warranty covers all deafults of the machine caused by normal and regular use.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of Batteries, Ink Cartridges, ribbons and A/C Chargers. The warranty does not cover misuse or damage done to the machine and the paper tray.
